The work
What you'll do on this crew
- Weld marine pipe systems in all positions, including 6G, to ABS, AWS, and ASME code
- Run TIG root and stick fill/cap on carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, and copper-nickel
- Read isometric drawings and fit spools before laying in the weld
- Pass hydro and X-ray testing on completed joints
- Work the Houma / Houma Navigation Canal shipbuilding market alongside AMS pipefitters

- Pass the AMS weld test: 6G carbon-steel TIG root with flux-core cap and fill
- 5+ years of shipyard or marine pipe-welding experience preferred
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Valid TWIC card, or the ability to obtain one for yard access
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and respirator fit test
